The SIP 01978 is a 7-tonne vertical electric log splitter designed for agricultural and landscaping applications, delivering continuous hydraulic ram force to split dried softwoods and hardwoods safely and efficiently. Powered by a 3kW (4hp) motor on a standard 230V (13A) supply, it is suited to a wide variety of working environments.
A hydraulic piston ram delivers 7 tonnes of continuous splitting force at 23.5MPa hydraulic pressure, making short work of logs ranging from 80mm to 300mm in diameter and 100mm to 520mm in length. An integrated ram lock and NVR switch provide increased user safety during operation, while operator handle guards further protect the user.
The vertical configuration keeps the machine's physical footprint compact, and large wheels combined with an integrated handle ensure easy mobility across uneven terrain. The hydraulic system runs on 4 litres of HV22 hydraulic oil. Noise output is rated at 89.7dB(A) under full load and 83.6dB(A) at no load, which should be considered when planning site deployment and selecting appropriate hearing protection.
