Cutting through wood, wood-derived materials and plastics demands a stable, accurate platform, and the Draper Storm Force® Bandsaw delivers exactly that for trade and home workshop use. The revolving endless saw band is carried on two band wheels and housed within a welded steel body that provides the rigidity needed for controlled, repeatable cuts. Adjustable blade tensioning and tracking allow the operator to set the blade precisely, while a mitre guide — graduated to 30 degrees for both left and right-hand angles — supports accurate crosscut work. The cast table tilts through a 0–45 degree range, enabling angled cutting, ripping, and mitre and bevel operations. A no-volt release switch ensures the blade cannot restart uncontrolled following a power interruption, and a 100mm dust extraction outlet keeps the work area clear. Electrical supply is 230V, 50Hz at 250W input, with a no-load speed of 1,400rpm and a cutting speed of 15m/sec (900m/min). Maximum throat capacity is 200mm, cutting depth is 80mm, and maximum capacity is 85mm. The table measures 300 x 360 to 520mm, the overall bandsaw dimensions are 335 x 250 x 685mm, and the unit weighs 15kg.Supplied complete with a 7tpi blade, parallel rip fence, open-ended spanner, flat-head screwdriver, push stick, and two hex keys, the Draper Storm Force® 98471 is ready to put to work straight from the box.
