Q 1. What materials can the Sealey PP25E cut?

A. The PP25E cuts any electrically conductive material including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and brass. Maximum cut capacity is 8mm. It cannot cut non-conductive materials such as wood, plastic, or ceramics.

Q 2. What power supply does the Sealey PP25E require?

A. The PP25E requires a 230V supply. If you are unsure whether your supply is adequate, consult a qualified electrician before installation.

Q 3. What is the duty cycle of the Sealey PP25E?

A. The PP25E has a duty cycle of 30% @ 25A , 60% @ 20A , 100% @ 15A. Duty cycle is measured over a 10-minute period — a 60% duty cycle means 6 minutes of continuous welding followed by a 4-minute cool-down. Operating at lower amperages increases available run time.

Q 4. What is supplied with the Sealey PP25E?

A. The PP25E is supplied with the accessories needed to start welding — check the product listing for the complete included items. Additional consumables for the PP25E are available at PartsForMachines.com.

Q 5. How portable is the Sealey PP25E?

A. At 7.2kg, the PP25E is among the more portable machines in its output class. A carry handle is fitted for single-person transport.

Q 6. Can the Sealey PP25E cut aluminium?

A. Yes. The PP25E cuts aluminium along with mild steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass. Plasma cutting works on any electrically conductive material — non-conductive materials cannot be plasma cut.

Q 7. Does the Sealey PP25E have thermal overload protection?

A. Yes. The PP25E is fitted with automatic thermal overload protection that cuts output if the machine exceeds safe operating temperature. It will restart automatically once it has cooled. Operating within the rated duty cycle minimises the frequency of thermal interruptions.

Q 8. Can the Sealey PP25E cut painted or rusted metal?

A. A clean bare-metal contact point is generally needed to start the plasma arc reliably. For painted or coated surfaces, cleaning the start point is recommended.

Q 9. What thickness of metal can the Sealey PP25E cut?

A. The PP25E cuts any electrically conductive material — mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and brass — up to its rated maximum thickness. For best edge quality, cut at around 60–70% of maximum rated thickness. Thicker material can be severed but the edge will be rougher and may need grinding.
