FAQs

Single-phase 230V is the standard for workshop and trade-bay use, suitable for motor outputs up to about 4kW (covering pressures up to ~200 bar at moderate flow). Three-phase 415V is needed for higher-output models (5kW and above, supporting higher pressures and flow simultaneously) — typically fixed-bay industrial and fleet-wash installations. For most workshop applications, single-phase is sufficient and easier to install.

An induction motor runs without brushes — quieter, longer-lasting (typically 3-5 times the operating life of brushed motors), and rated for continuous-duty operation. The standard for trade and fixed-bay use. A brushed (universal) motor uses carbon brushes for commutation — lighter, smaller, and lower-cost, but the brushes wear, the motor runs hotter, and the rated duty cycle is intermittent. For occasional and light trade use, brushed is fine; for daily use, specify an induction motor.

For light commercial vehicle and car wash bays, 130-150 bar with 8-10 l/min covers most needs. For HGV, agricultural, and plant wash bays, 150-200 bar with 10-15 l/min is the standard. Higher flow rates speed up wash cycles and improve rinse effectiveness; higher pressure improves cleaning of hardened dirt and salt. Match the rating to the dirt level and vehicle size you're servicing.

Yes. Replacement pump seal kits, valve kits, unloader-valve service kits, motor brushes (for brushed-motor variants), and lance and nozzle accessories are available for the majority of SIP electric pressure washers. Pump seals and (on brushed motors) motor brushes are the most common service items. Search by the pressure washer or pump model code, or WhatsApp 07754288583 with the code and a photograph.

Every product is backed by our Fit Guarantee. If a part is incompatible with your machine, you can return it hassle-free. For damaged-on-arrival items, report within 24 hours with photographs to [email protected] — we will arrange collection. Within Pressure Washer & Scrubber, Electric Pressure Washers covers the mains-electric pressure washers used in workshops, fixed-bay vehicle wash facilities, indoor cleaning areas, and any application where a fixed mains supply is available and engine emissions are unwanted. Electric pressure washers offer instant-on convenience, no engine maintenance, and quiet operation suited to indoor and noise-sensitive applications.

Parts for Machines supplies electric pressure washers across the trade and workshop ranges, with rated pressures typically running from 100 bar (light workshop and bay-cleaning use) up to 200+ bar (heavy-duty trade and industrial cleaning), and flow rates from 6 l/min to 15+ l/min depending on motor power and pump specification.

We are an authorised distributor and seller of SIP across the electric pressure washer range. SIP covers trade-grade electric washers in single-phase 230V (workshop and trade use) and three-phase 415V (heavy industrial and fixed-bay applications), with induction-motor and brushed-motor variants paired with brass-head triplex or axial-cam pumps.

Product pages list the rated working pressure (in bar or PSI), the flow rate (in l/min or GPM), the motor power (in kW), the supply requirement (single-phase 230V 13A or 16A; three-phase 415V for higher-output models), the motor type (induction motor for continuous-duty; brushed motor for intermittent-duty trade use), the pump type, and the included lance and nozzle accessories. Electric pressure washers are typically classified by motor type. Induction motors run quieter, last longer, and tolerate continuous-duty operation — the standard for fixed-bay and contract use. Brushed (universal) motors are lighter, smaller, and lower-cost but have a shorter operating life and are rated for intermittent-duty operation only. Trade pricing on multi-unit and bay fit-out orders is available; contact the team via WhatsApp 07754288583.
