The Drill Doctor XP sharpens drill bits from 3/32in to 1/2in to a 118° point angle. Its adjustable chisel and relief angles add versatility, and it also creates and sharpens split points.
It handles standard twist and masonry bits in carbide, cobalt, high-speed steel, black oxide and TiN-coated types, sized approximately 2.4 mm to 12.7 mm in metric terms. The Push to Stop splitting port prevents over-splitting the bit point. Longer chuck jaws hold bits more precisely, while jaw guides stop the jaws twisting on small bits.
A permanent magnet motor produces consistent power regardless of speed or load. The 100 grit diamond sharpening wheel comes pre-installed and is easy to replace. The box holds the XP sharpener, a 1/2in chuck, the fitted wheel, a user guide and a wheel hub wrench.
Optional accessories, not included, are a large bit chuck up to 3/4in, a left-hand chuck for reverse twist bits from 3/32in to 1/2in, a coarse 100 grit diamond wheel and a carrying/storage case. The XP runs from a 6 ft power cord, weighs 1.6 kg and carries a 3-year warranty.
