The material is 600-denier polyester over a polyurethane backing: waterproof and oil and mud resistant, keeping mud, spills, oil, water and general wear off the driver's seat in a van worked in all weather. Overlocked seams hold the panel edges along the outer bolster, where a van driver's seat takes its wear.

Fitting uses tuck-in panels and hook-and-loop fastening, which pull the cover tight into the seat rather than leaving it to work loose, and needs no tools at any point, so the cover comes off for cleaning and goes back on between drivers.

The three pieces cover the seat, headrest and armrest as one surface once fitted, so there is no bare strip at the top of the backrest where a driver's shoulders make contact through a shift.
