Because this seat spends much of its life folded against the cab wall rather than sat on, the cover protects it against what is stacked and leant against it as much as against use. That is a different job from a driver's seat cover, and it is where a cover on this seat actually earns its place.
The material is 600-denier polyester over a polyurethane backing: waterproof, oil and mud resistant and breathable rather than sealed. Overlocked seams hold the panel edges together where a folding seat is repeatedly moved, which is where the wear concentrates.
Seat adjusters remain accessible with the cover fitted, and fitting requires no tools, so the cover comes off for cleaning and goes back on without anything being unbolted.
