A cover for the KAB SCIOX suspension seat used in tractors, plant and construction machinery, supplied as two pieces — a full seat cover and a lumbar support cover.
The lumbar piece is the part worth noting. On a suspension seat the operator's back is against the lumbar section for the whole shift, and it is the area that wears and soils first. Covering it separately means the section taking that contact is protected properly rather than being stretched over as an afterthought.
The material is 600-denier polyester over a polyurethane backing: waterproof, oil and mud resistant and breathable rather than sealed, keeping mud, dirt, grime, dust, spills and general wear and tear off the seat while still letting it breathe.
Overlocked seams hold the panel edges together under the twisting a plant seat takes as an operator climbs in and out, which happens far more often than in a road vehicle.
Seat adjusters remain accessible with the cover fitted. Two pieces are supplied per box.
