The MAF-106 is a direct-replacement mass air flow (MAF) sensor designed to fit the Land Rover Range Rover II (P38A), covering nine vehicle applications across the 3.9, 4.0 and 4.6 engine variants produced from July 1994 through to March 2002. The MAF sensor is a critical engine management component that measures the volume and density of air entering the intake, providing the engine control unit with the data it requires to calculate the correct fuelling and ignition parameters.
As a direct replacement unit, the MAF-106 is intended to restore accurate air mass measurement following sensor failure or degraded output, addressing symptoms such as rough idle, poor throttle response, increased fuel consumption and fault codes associated with the air flow circuit.
