Product Number: EGR-017
The EGR-017 is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve designed as a direct replacement for passenger cars and light vehicles across the Volkswagen Group range. The EGR valve regulates the recirculation of exhaust gases back into the engine intake, supporting emissions control and combustion efficiency in vehicles where the original unit has failed or degraded.
This replacement EGR valve covers a broad spread of applications across four manufacturer brands: Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, and Audi, spanning model years from 1995 to 2015. With 107 verified applications in total - Volkswagen accounting for 57, Seat for 25, Skoda for 16, and Audi for 9 - the EGR-017 is a versatile stock item suited to workshops servicing a wide variety of VAG-platform vehicles.
Confirmed fitments include the Audi A3 (8L1) 1.6 in engine variants APF, AEH, AVU, and BFQ across production dates from September 1996, as well as the Audi A3 (8P1) 1.6 BGU from May 2003 onwards. Always verify the engine code against the vehicle's VIN plate or service documentation before fitting to ensure correct application.
The EGR-017 carries 36 verified OE and aftermarket cross-references, including references from Audi (06A 131 501 F), Pierburg (7.22574.12.0), Delphi (EG10290-12B1), Lucas (FDR187), Quinton Hazell (XEGR79), Fuel Parts (EGR125 / ERV094), Meat & Doria (88050), Metzger (0892050), and others - confirming broad industry equivalence recognition.
