Product Number: CSS-099
The CSS-099 is a crankshaft positioning sensor (CSS) supplied for a broad range of Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and Fiat passenger cars spanning model years 1995 to 2009. The sensor monitors crankshaft position and speed, providing the engine management system with the precise rotational data it requires to control ignition timing and fuel delivery accurately - making correct sensor function essential to reliable engine starting, idle quality, and overall performance.
The CSS-099 is engineered as a direct-fit replacement, with coverage extending across 63 verified vehicle applications from three manufacturers: Alfa Romeo (41 applications), Lancia (12 applications), and Fiat (10 applications). This breadth of fitment makes it a practical stock choice for workshops and parts suppliers servicing Italian-marque vehicles of the period.
Compatible vehicles confirmed within the fitment data include variants of the Alfa Romeo 145 (930) with engines including the 1.4 i.e. 16V T.S. (AR33503, AR38501), 1.6 i.e. 16V T.S. (AR38201, AR67601), 1.8 i.e. 16V (AR32201), and 2.0 16V Quadrifoglio (AR32301), all within the 1996 to 2001 date range. A comprehensive cross-reference list of 29 OE and aftermarket part numbers is associated with this sensor, including references from Alfa Romeo, Bosch, Delphi, Hella, Lucas, and Vemo, among others - supporting straightforward part identification from existing vehicle records.
Please verify the full fitment list against your specific vehicle registration, engine code, and build date before ordering to confirm suitability.
