Product Number: CSS-083
The CSS-083 is a crankshaft positioning sensor (CSS) supplied by PartsForMachines, designed as a direct replacement for crankshaft position sensing on a range of Fiat and Lancia vehicles spanning 1993 to 2012. The sensor monitors crankshaft rotation to provide the engine management system with accurate positional data, enabling correct ignition timing and fuel delivery.
The CSS-083 is supplied to a specification that supports cross-referencing against 21 OE and aftermarket part numbers from recognised suppliers including Bosch, Delphi, FAE, Meat & Doria, Metzger, SMPE, Fuel Parts, and Hoffer, as well as original Fiat and Alfa Romeo references. This breadth of cross-referencing confirms the sensor's position within a well-documented replacement part family, giving workshop buyers confidence when sourcing from either OE or aftermarket catalogues.
The CSS-083 covers 18 vehicle applications across 2 makes - Fiat (17 applications) and Lancia (1 application) - with confirmed fitment across models including the Fiat Brava, Fiat Bravo, Fiat Doblò Cargo, and Fiat Doblò MPV. Engine code applications include the 182B2.000 and 223A5.000 units, with production dates ranging from 1993 through to 2012. Buyers should always verify the engine code and production date of the target vehicle against the full fitment list before ordering.
This listing covers the CSS-083 single sensor. No variant siblings are recorded for this SKU. No replacement grommets or spare-of linkages apply to this part.
