Product Number: 084000-01
Coil spring compression work carries a significant risk of injury if a spring slips or releases unexpectedly during the procedure. The Sykes Pickavant 084000-01 Safety Wire is a dedicated replacement and upgrade accessory designed to address that hazard directly when using vice mounted spring compressors.
The safety wire functions by locking around the coil spring during compression. This restraint prevents the spring from becoming a projectile in the event of a slip or compressor failure, maintaining control of the spring throughout the operation.
Constructed from heavy-duty steel, the wire is built to withstand the forces encountered during spring compression. It is specifically suitable for use with the Sykes Pickavant 08395000 and 08400000 vice mounted spring compressors.
This item is sold as a replacement or additional safety wire for technicians who require a new wire for their existing 08395000 or 08400000 spring compressor setup.
The heavy-duty steel construction and locking design provide the improved safety margin that spring compression work demands.
