The Metrol 1401-20-30.KD is a quarter turn key retaining lock from the 1401 series, fitted with a KEY333 key locking mechanism and supplied with keys. Finished in bright chrome, this lock is constructed in die cast zinc with a mild steel zinc plated cam sold separately, and is suited to panel-mounted enclosure and cabinet applications requiring secure key-operated quarter turn access.
The lock features a die cast zinc alloy handle and housing in bright chrome finish. The KEY333 barrel accepts randomly generated key codes, providing individual keying for security-sensitive installations. The hinge carries IP65-grade weather sealing, confirming resistance to dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for use in demanding workshop and industrial enclosure environments.
The 1401-20-30.KD accepts a panel cutout of 20.1 x 20.1 mm and is compatible with panel thicknesses from 1 mm to 8 mm. Barrel height: 20 mm. A range of cam profiles are available separately to suit different panel depths and latching requirements. The locking unit is also available in stainless steel 316, stainless steel 304, black powder coated, and polyamide variants within the 1401 series.
