Product Number: CRT002
Valve connections can delay tyre inflation and deflation, and a loose valve core presents a risk of eye injury. The PCL CRT002 is a Lock-On type Valve Core Retracting Tool, sized for 6.35 mm (1/4 in) valve stems, designed to allow the operator to remove and retain the valve core safely during the inflation or deflation process.
The CRT002 clips onto the valve stem and uses a push-and-rotate action to extract the core without risk of it escaping. Rotating the stem anti-clockwise withdraws the core into the CRT body, where it can be seen to be fully retracted. Once the inflation or deflation task is complete, the core is refitted by pushing the stem forward and rotating clockwise. The lock-on fitment suits applications where a secure connection to the valve stem is required.
PCL recommend using the CRT002 in conjunction with a tyre inflator such as the MK4, ACCURA 1, AirForce II, QUBE, or D12. A clip-on variant is also available within the CRT range for different application requirements; refer to CRT001 (clip-on) where that fitment is preferred.
