Achieving a clean, controlled finish on contoured or delicate surfaces demands an abrasive that yields rather than bites. This polycarbide strip disc is manufactured from black silicon carbide, a material that is softer and more flexible than many other abrasive types, making it well suited to light work and curved profiles where a rigid disc would cause unnecessary damage to the workpiece. Designed for use with 115mm angle grinders, the disc is compatible with Draper Stock No. 56488 and accepts the standard 22.23mm bore. It performs across a range of general cleaning applications including rust removal, paint stripping, and surface preparation, delivering consistent results without excessive material removal. The disc operates at a maximum speed of 9970rpm and a maximum surface speed of 60m/s. The 180 grit black silicon carbide construction ensures a finer, more controlled abrasive action suited to preparation and finishing tasks rather than aggressive stock removal. Each pack contains one polycarbide strip disc.
