Perkins
Perkins makes the engine inside the machine, so everything here runs on the engine number rather than the machine model. Owners arrive with 4108, 4236, 1004-4, 1104C-44 or 404D-22 off the block plate, and the Machinery Parts Finder on PartsForMachines answers to it: fuel pumps and injectors, starter motors and alternators, matched to the engine number, with the price on every listing. The badge on the outside, JCB, Massey Ferguson or a genset, makes no difference here.
Perkins fuel pumps and injectors: 4108, 4236, 1004, 1104, 404D
Fuel pumps and injectors are the deepest Perkins range, listed against the Perkins engine number, with the Perkins reference and the supplier number both on the listing. A Perkins that runs badly is nearly always a fuel-system engine before it is anything else. Starter motors and alternators follow, listed with OE number and voltage, and radiators for the generator sets alongside.
Read the engine number off the block plate; a Perkins number in the 2643 or 2644 style goes straight into the header search. Otherwise the Machinery Parts Finder: Perkins, the engine series from the dropdown, then fuel pump, injector, starter or alternator. Plate unreadable, photo of the block to 07754288583 on WhatsApp. The Compatible tab on the product lists every engine it fits.
Oil to the Perkins grade through the Oil Finder and filters by size head the wider range, because a Perkins is serviced far more often than it is rebuilt. Batteries, radiators for the gensets and the rest are matched by specification. Engine number not in the Finder? Ask Simon.
